Poland will see 1 percent growth in electricity demand in 2010 as industrial customers consume more power in an improving economy, Poland's grid operator PSE Operator said on Wednesday. Poland was the only European Union state to avoid recession in 2009. Analysts expect figures to show the country's economy expanded by 1.5 percent last year and forecast growth of 2.4 percent in 2010.
PSE Operator said the economic recovery would be reflected in power consumption, which dropped by around 4 percent in 2009 in year-on-year terms.
