Zloty Gains to Highest Since 2008 on Polish Rate-Increase Bets

The zloty advanced to the strongest level since 2008, extending the longest rally since November, as investors stepped up bets Poland will increase interest rates this year.

The zloty advanced 0.6 percent to 3.8738 per euro as of 5 p.m. in Warsaw, the strongest intraday level since December 2008. The currency has appreciated 2.9 percent in six days, its longest winning streak since Nov. 16.
